There are generally three classes of electric bikes or ebikes, which are classified based on the level of assistance provided by the electric motor:
Class 1 ebikes: These bikes are equipped with a motor that provides assistance only when the rider is pedaling, and can only reach a top speed of 20 mph (32 km/h).
Class 2 ebikes: These bikes are equipped with a motor that can provide assistance up to a speed of 20 mph (32 km/h), even when the rider is not pedaling. Class 2 ebikes also have a throttle that can be used to activate the motor that will max out at 20 mph!
Class 3 ebikes: These bikes are equipped with a motor that provides assistance only when the rider is pedaling, but the motor can assist up to a speed of 28 mph (45 km/h). Class 3 ebikes can come with a throttle. It’s important to note that most Class 3 ebikes do not come with a throttle. The 28 mph top speed is on pedal assist only. If an ebike is equipped with a throttle, it would max out at 20 mph.

The torque sensing mid mount motor is awesome off road. Quite satisfactory as a commuter, too. The rear derailleur is top notch. Love the bike!!
Took it on a 10 mile, 1700 ft vertical ride just outside Glacier national park and rarely got out of eco mode. The precision of the rear derailleur is wonderful. Heck, even without electric, the bike is ride-able.

Wanted to start back riding mountain trails after many years of not riding. Went to my local bike shop and they recommended the Aventon Ramblas for cost and function. This bike nails it, my first ride out I went 14 miles on back country trails. You couldn't wipe the smile off my face. I now ride nearly everyday and it is now a perma-grin. Thanks for the thought out function and comfort on these bikes. Uphills are a breeze, downhills are controlled comfort.

Where do I start? This is my 6th Aventon bike in my collection. Love the color and the crazy torque this puts out. I have not found a hill in my area I couldn't climb. I currently only have 45 miles due to having to work lol. Its hard to pick my favorite bike out of them. I will have to get use of the motor rattle for a bit I couldnt figure out what was loose lol Sure, here is the revised text:

Good evening everyone
I was introduced to the Aventon bikes through black rock bikes in north Reno
I started with the Aventon adventure 2 rode for about 300 miles (got spoiled with the throttle assist just didn’t feel right)
So back to black rock bikes again and ordered the Aventon Ramblus
I’d say with in the first thirty minutes I DID NOT WANT TO GET OFF THE BIKE my daily commute to work is 8 miles down hill then 8 miles up hill the three levels of pedal assist work outstanding giving me enough of a work out without destroying my left hip
Over the y ears of being up on two wheels this is by far one of the BEST hard tails I have ever had
When you guys designed the ramblus the home work and all that went in to this it definitely shows

Great bike for the money. Shipping was free and fast. I'm very satisfied. On a side note...I wish Aventon would develop a rear back rack or get more of the 3rd party racks that they recommend. Out of stock for for a long time.
